Before re-indexing eClaims its important that all other users are logged out of eClaims. It is only possible to reindex eClaims if one single user is logged into the database. A simple way to check if others users are connected to eClaims is to rename the data directory. By default the data directory is stored in C:\eclmpluswin

This error can be caused by a corruption in the index files of eClaims and can be solved by deleting the index files of the database. If these files don’t exist they will be recreated by eClaims when the system starts and completes a reindex. How to reindex.

Close eClaims on the PC.

Before deleting any files please copy the data directory in eClaims to a location outside the eClaims Data folder.

Using windows explorer navigate to the eClaims directory on the local drive. By default the path is C:\eclaimswin\data

Click on Type.

Delete the files with an extension of CDX and DCX.

Open eClaims.

The first time you open eClaims it will perform a quick operation to recreate the CDX and DCX files and it will close.

Now login to eClaims and it should be OK.
