Holding Bay is used to accept and review reports from external sources such as radiology and pathology service providers. Reports received by eClaims are stored in this area and once reviewed are moved to the patient record.

Please note – holding bay is only available in specialist versions of eClaims.

The holding bay needs to be configured for each provider that sends reports to the practice. For more information refer to Holding Bay setup.

Click Reports and Custom Reports to open the Custom Reports menu. Click Report Holding Bay to open the incoming reports screen.

Reports that need to be processed are displayed in the left side of the screen. Click on a report to see the details of the report displayed on the right.

Processing Reports

Click on a report so that it is highlighted and click Allocate at the bottom of the screen to open the Doctor Allocation screen.

Click the drop down arrow and select the doctor. Click OK and the doctor should be displayed at the bottom of the screen under allocated to doctor.

Click Commit to add the report to the patient record.

Click Yes to continue and the record will be removed from the report holding bay as it is added to the patient record.
